With the offline programming software FASTSUITE, the joystick pendant JoyPen and the camera auto teaching system Photo Teach, OTC DAIHEN offers three innovative ways to program your robot cells quickly and easily.

By using the new LiDAR technology, OTC DAIHEN has launched Photo Teach, an innovative product to make robot programming even more efficient and convenient using LiDAR scans. LiDAR stands for Light Detection and Ranging and is a popular method for detecting the environment. It uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to detect and categorize objects.

In three simple steps, Photo Teach detects the path of the weld by the LiDAR system, selects it, and communicates it to the welding robot for execution. A separate touch procedure automatically checks and optimizes the intended weld path. In this way, even complex components can be captured with the 3D LiDAR scan, its programming calculated and displayed in a single image.

With the JoyPen, OTC DAIHEN reaches a new level of simple robot programming. Through the intuitive operation with a joystick with integrated gyro sensor, the control takes place via the hand movement of the user. This makes it possible to program the robot without looking at the hands. The direction of the robot's movement is determined by the movement of the JoyPen.

The very light, ergonomic and compact JoyPen automatically records the steps and thus offers intuitive robot operation. This new way of moving the robot can greatly reduce programming time.

In the area of offline programming, we offer modern CAD-based offline programming of our automation systems with FASTSUITE. After importing the CAD data (CAD to path), modern automatisms are immediately available, which make the programming of the robot welding cells even easier and more efficient. In addition to all important welding parameters, this includes powerful functions for the automatic recognition of fillet welds and automatic forced-position interpolation, as well as for mirroring and cloning recurring weld paths and patterns. Afterwards, the system can be directly downloaded to the control system.

For fixtures and clamping elements, there is the Fixture Builder, a computer-aided function that can quickly and flexibly design a suitable support fixture for any type of free form and also export it immediately via CAD file. The FASTSUITE INTEGRATOR also provides all the functions needed to expand the existing libraries and create new components individually, such as traversing axes, positioners and other peripherals.
